The Opportunity

We are looking for a motivated and curious AI Engineer to join our growing product engineering team.

This opportunity is ideal for recent graduates or engineers with up to two years of experience who have a solid foundation in Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning and are eager to apply those skills in production environments.

Working alongside our Head of AI and global engineering teams, you‘ll help design, develop, and improve AI-powered capabilities that enhance insurance distribution and customer experiences. You‘ll gain hands-on exposure to modern AI technologies while contributing to products used by customers around the world.

Key Responsibilities

AI Product Development

• Develop and deploy machine learning models for use cases such as insurance recommendations, pricing optimization, risk evaluation, and claims automation.

• Design, build, and maintain AI-enabled services integrated into our embedded insurance platform, including data pipelines and inference APIs.

• Create and enhance Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) solutions and LLM-powered assistants for both internal users and customer-facing applications.

• Partner with product managers and software engineers to translate business requirements into practical AI solutions.

• Participate throughout the complete AI/ML lifecycle, including data preparation, feature engineering, model training, validation, deployment, monitoring, and continuous improvement.

• Help build and enhance our internal AI agent ecosystem using frameworks such as LangChain, LangGraph, or similar technologies.

• Ensure AI models meet expectations for performance, reliability, scalability, and regulatory compliance within the insurance industry.

• Support the implementation and continuous improvement of CI/CD pipelines for AI, machine learning, and data workflows.

• Contribute to the development of Agent Development Toolkits (ADK) and automated Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) processes that accelerate AI feature delivery.

Research & Innovation

• Explore emerging AI and machine learning techniques and assess their value for insurance-related applications.

• Rapidly prototype new AI ideas, gather feedback, and evolve successful experiments into production-ready solutions.

• Maintain clear documentation covering experiments, model designs, implementation decisions, and technical learnings.

• Keep up with advancements in large language models, AI agents, orchestration frameworks, and related technologies, sharing valuable insights with the team.

• Assist Full Stack Engineers in adopting and effectively using the AI Development Toolkit (ADK), providing technical guidance while maintaining awareness of broader software engineering practices.

• Expand and maintain the organization‘s AI knowledge base by documenting reusable patterns, technical guidance, and lessons learned for both engineers and AI agents.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor‘s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Data Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related discipline.

Experience

• 2+ years of professional experience in AI, Machine Learning, or Software Engineering.

• Strong internship experience, academic research, or personal AI projects are highly valued.

• Good written and spoken English; additional languages are an advantage in our international environment.

• Genuine interest in applying AI within insurance, fintech, or other regulated industries.

Required Technical Skills

• Strong understanding of core AI and Machine Learning concepts, including supervised and unsupervised learning, neural networks, natural language processing, and model evaluation techniques.

• Proficiency in Python and hands-on experience with at least one major machine learning framework such as PyTorch, TensorFlow, or scikit-learn.

• Practical exposure to Large Language Models (LLMs), Generative AI, prompt engineering, Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG), or agent-based AI through academic work, internships, or personal projects.

• Ability to quickly learn new technologies and adapt to rapidly evolving AI tools and best practices.

• Understanding of responsible AI principles, including fairness, ethics, and model governance.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience in the following areas will be considered a strong advantage:

• LangChain, LangGraph, LlamaIndex, or similar AI orchestration frameworks.

• Cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud for deploying AI applications.

• MLOps practices, model monitoring, and AI operations.

• Building REST APIs for machine learning services.

• Docker, containerization, and production deployment.

• Fine-tuning foundation models or implementing production-grade RAG and agentic AI workflows.
