Job Description

Test Design & Specification

  • Review system architecture, design, and requirements to assess testability, including functional, safety, security, and regulatory aspects.

  • Evaluate verification criteria and ensure they are sufficiently defined for system-level validation.

  • Develop detailed test cases and test specifications in alignment with the project testing strategy.

  • Maintain traceability between system requirements, architecture, interfaces, and corresponding test cases.

  • Apply suitable test design methodologies to achieve effective and comprehensive test coverage.

  • Define and work within appropriate test environments, including SIL, HIL, and other simulation/testing setups.

  • Participate in requirement, test specification, and test result reviews.

  • Maintain and baseline test specifications according to the project‘s configuration management process.

Test Automation

  • Develop automated test scripts based on approved test specifications.

  • Build reusable and maintainable automation components, including libraries and common utilities.

  • Ensure automation activities follow the established testing methodology and project processes.

  • Maintain traceability between test specifications and their automated implementations.

  • Support debugging activities and troubleshoot automated tests within the target test environment.

  • Review automation scripts and resolve findings identified during code/script reviews.

  • Manage and baseline test automation assets according to configuration management practices.

Test Execution & Reporting

  • Execute manual and automated test cases according to defined test procedures.

  • Analyze test outcomes, identify deviations, and document defects with sufficient technical details.

  • Prepare test reports and other required testing documentation.

  • Ensure testing activities comply with defined engineering standards and processes.

  • Maintain traceability between test cases, execution results, defects, and related requirements.

  • Track the impact of change requests on affected test cases and test reports.

  • Support the System/Team Architect in preparing test summary reports and evaluating residual risks associated with unresolved defects.

Requirements

  • 1+ year of professional experience in system and/or software testing.

  • Practical experience with automotive embedded/system testing.

  • Hands-on CAN protocol experience is mandatory.

  • Experience with CAPL is mandatory.

  • Familiarity with ECU flashing procedures and sequences.

  • Experience using automotive testing and debugging tools, particularly CANoe, DBC files, and relevant debuggers.

  • Knowledge of V-Model and ASPICE development processes is an advantage.

  • Experience with Python-based test automation is a plus.

  • Exposure to Vector VT System is preferred.

  • Experience with additional automotive communication technologies such as LIN, UWB, NFC, or BLE is a plus.

  • Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.

  • Good understanding of test processes, documentation, and requirement-to-test traceability.

  • Ability to work collaboratively in a structured engineering environment.

Nice to Have

  • Experience developing reusable test automation frameworks or libraries.

  • Experience working with SIL/HIL environments.

  • Knowledge of automotive functional safety or cybersecurity testing.

  • Experience in an ASPICE-compliant automotive development environment.
