Lead Mobile Application Engineer

We are looking for a senior mobile engineer who can take full ownership of building and operating production-grade mobile applications from concept to release. This role requires someone who is comfortable designing systems, writing code across the stack, and maintaining applications long-term without heavy supervision.

You will be responsible for shaping the technical foundation of multiple mobile products, overseeing architecture decisions, implementation, deployment, and continuous improvement. This is an end-to-end role suited for a self-directed developer who enjoys autonomy and accountability.

Responsibilities

End-to-End Mobile Development
Design and deliver cross-platform mobile applications for iOS and Android using modern frameworks such as React Native or equivalent. Own the entire lifecycle, from user interface implementation to business logic and integrations.

Backend Ownership
Architect, implement, and operate backend services that support mobile applications. This includes APIs, databases, authentication flows, payment processing, notifications, analytics pipelines, and cloud services, with a strong focus on stability and security.

Release & Operations
Manage application releases on major app marketplaces, including build pipelines, versioning, updates, and compliance requirements. Ensure reliable operation through monitoring, performance tracking, and infrastructure maintenance.

Performance & Scalability
Continuously evaluate application performance and user behavior. Improve system efficiency, reduce latency, and evolve the architecture as product usage grows.

Selective Collaboration
Work with design, product, and go-to-market stakeholders when alignment is needed. Operate independently while maintaining clear communication on progress, risks, and outcomes.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of professional experience in mobile application development

• Strong hands-on expertise with React Native or similar cross-platform technologies

• Demonstrated experience building both client-side and server-side systems

• Track record of publishing and maintaining live applications on iOS and Android platforms

• Solid knowledge of APIs, databases, and cloud-based infrastructure

• Strong grasp of mobile performance optimization, scalability, and security best practices

• Highly self-driven, structured, and capable of delivering high-quality results independently
