About the Role

We are looking for a Mid-Senior AutoCAD Drafting Specialist with practical experience in ICT network infrastructure and passive cabling systems to support a major airport infrastructure project in Vietnam.

In this role, you will turn architectural plans and project specifications into detailed technical drawings covering cabling routes, network distribution, racks, and patch panels. You will also be responsible for documenting material quantities and maintaining drawing accuracy throughout the design process.

The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, technically capable, and comfortable working independently while coordinating with other design team members to ensure consistent and accurate project deliverables.

Key Responsibilities

• Technical Drawing Development: Produce detailed AutoCAD drawings for cable trays, conduits, data cables, and data ports based on architectural plans and project specifications.

• Network Distribution Diagrams: Develop riser diagrams that accurately represent the vertical distribution of ICT network infrastructure.

• Rack Positioning: Position network racks according to designated distribution points and project requirements.

• Rack & Patch Panel Layouts: Prepare rack arrangements and patch panel diagrams that align with the specified data port distribution.

• Drawing Labelling: Ensure all data ports, cables, and racks are clearly and consistently identified across technical drawings.

• Material Quantity Estimation: Calculate and document material quantities from completed drawings to support the preparation of the project Bill of Quantities (BOQ).

• On-site Design Coordination: For on-site team members, work closely with other designers to maintain consistency and alignment across drawings.

• Remote Design Coordination: For remote team members, maintain regular communication with the on-site design team to obtain updated drawings and clarify design requirements.

Requirements — Must-Have

• Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, ICT, Civil Engineering, Architecture, or a related technical discipline.

• Approximately 3–5+ years of hands-on AutoCAD drafting experience, preferably in ICT/network passive infrastructure or structured cabling.

• Practical experience producing drawings for cable trays, conduits, data ports, riser diagrams, and rack/patch panel layouts.

• Ability to interpret architectural drawings and accurately convert them into detailed technical and cabling drawings.

• Proven capability in calculating and documenting material quantities based on completed technical drawings.

• Strong attention to detail and consistency, particularly when collaborating with multiple drafters on shared project deliverables.

• Ability to work effectively either on-site as part of a collaborative design team or independently in a remote setup, depending on the assigned role.

• Working-level English proficiency sufficient to understand project documentation and communicate with the design team.

Nice-to-Have

• Familiarity with structured cabling standards, such as BICSI.

• Basic working knowledge of Revit/BIM to facilitate coordination and handover to the BIM team.

• Previous experience in airport, transportation, or other large-scale infrastructure and construction projects.

• Experience following a formal drawing quality assurance and quality control (QA/QC) process.
