About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled talent to lead technology selection and architectural decision-making for a rapidly growing organization. This role involves designing and developing scalable backend applications with a strong focus on operational sustainability. You will also formulate technology strategies that align with business objectives while providing technical leadership to the development team.

Key Responsibilities

• Define technology strategy and oversee backend system architecture.
• Develop and maintain scalable backend applications ensuring long-term sustainability.
• Lead system requirements analysis and domain modeling.
• Drive backend architecture design and ensure high-quality implementation.
• Participate in hands-on coding, unit testing, and documentation.
• Ensure clean, efficient, and well-integrated code by following best development practices.
• Conduct code reviews and foster a culture of continuous improvement.

Required Skills & Experience

✅ 8+ years of experience in backend development for web applications.
✅ Expertise in technology validation, requirements analysis, and system architecture.
✅ Strong experience in resolving technical, product, and development challenges.
✅ Hands-on experience with statically typed languages and backend frameworks.
✅ Proficiency in Docker-native infrastructure development.
✅ Fluent English communication skills (CEFR B1 or higher).

Preferred Qualifications

➕ Experience in designing and developing large-scale systems across multiple teams.
➕ Familiarity with domain-driven design principles.
➕ Background in Scrum or Agile methodologies.
➕ Proficiency in Rust, Scala, or other functional programming languages.
➕ Knowledge of front-end technologies (React.js, Next.js) is a plus.
➕ Experience in microservices architecture and secure web application development.
➕ Business-level Japanese proficiency is an advantage.
