We are looking for a practical and results-driven Product Manager to take ownership of the product experience for an AI-powered platform serving R&D teams in the biotech and pharmaceutical sectors.

In this role, you will convert complex scientific workflows into scalable product capabilities, lead pilot engagements with research teams, and collaborate closely with engineering, AI specialists, and business stakeholders to drive continuous product improvements with measurable impact.


Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and prioritize the product backlog, focusing on features that create clear value for users in biotech and pharma R&D.
  • Convert requirements from diverse user groups (e.g., lab scientists, computational researchers, ML practitioners, R&D leadership) into structured user stories, acceptance criteria, and product designs.
  • Lead product discovery efforts through user interviews, usability testing, data analysis, and hypothesis validation.
  • Coordinate cross-functional execution by working with engineering (full-stack & AI), DevOps, QA, and design teams to deliver features from concept to release.
  • Develop and maintain key product documentation, including roadmaps, product requirement documents (PRDs), API/UX specifications, release documentation, and developer guides.
  • Oversee pilot initiatives and early customer onboarding by recruiting users, conducting onboarding sessions, gathering feedback, and translating insights into scalable product enhancements.
  • Track and analyze product performance metrics (e.g., user engagement, success rates, time-to-value, onboarding efficiency) to guide prioritization of improvements and issue resolution.
  • Communicate regularly with internal stakeholders through demos, progress updates, and alignment discussions.
  • Ensure product decisions incorporate compliance and governance considerations, including auditability, data access control, and regulatory constraints.
  • Create and maintain external-facing materials such as product overviews, onboarding guides, operational playbooks, and API documentation.
  • Represent the customer perspective internally, advocating for user needs and promoting product direction across teams.
  • Facilitate agile ceremonies including sprint planning, backlog refinement, retrospectives, and acceptance reviews, while helping engineering teams remove blockers.

Qualifications

Required

  • At least 5 years of experience in product management, delivering B2B or SaaS products, with a minimum of 2 years working on AI/ML-driven or computational platforms.
  • Experience working on complex technology or science-related products.
  • Demonstrated success in running pilot programs and onboarding early-stage users, with the ability to translate feedback into actionable product improvements.
  • Strong analytical mindset with experience defining metrics, running experiments (including A/B testing), and using data insights to guide product decisions.
  • Excellent stakeholder management skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with scientists, engineers, operations, and commercial teams.
  • Proven ability to navigate ambiguity, prioritize effectively, and balance immediate delivery needs with long-term product vision.
  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (technical, business, or scientific discipline).

Preferred

  • Background or exposure to life sciences, drug discovery, or computational biology workflows (e.g., lab systems, LIMS, ELN).
  • Familiarity with AI/ML product lifecycles, model management concepts, or MLOps practices.
  • Experience working in regulated environments (e.g., pharmaceutical, clinical) with knowledge of compliance frameworks such as GxP or audit requirements.
  • Experience building developer-oriented products, including APIs, SDKs, CLI tools, or platform-based solutions.
