Role Overview
Our company provides next-generation MarTech services, delivering a modular platform that enables global clients to unlock revenue opportunities and scale their platforms rapidly.
To support our expanding R&D and product development teams, we are seeking an Automation QA Lead to own our cross-product automation strategy and architecture. In this hands-on technical leadership role, you will design the frameworks, tooling, and standards used across the entire QA organization while leading and scaling a team of automation engineers.
Key Responsibilities

Automation Strategy & Architecture: Own cross-product test automation roadmaps, framework design, and technical standards.
-
Team Leadership & Mentorship: Lead, coach, and elevate automation engineers—measuring your success by how effectively your team grows and outperforms expectations.
-
AI-Augmented Testing: Drive mandatory AI adoption across the automation lifecycle (AI-assisted test generation, maintenance, and triage), embedding AI as a team baseline.
-
Infrastructure & Reliability: Own CI/CD pipeline integration, test execution reporting, and continuous flaky-test reduction.
-
Code Craftsmanship: Establish and enforce strict code quality, architecture reviews, and maintainability standards across all test repos.
-
Hands-on Engineering: Stay actively involved in writing and reviewing code, resolving complex technical blockers, and leading by example.
-
Cross-Functional Integration: Partner with developers, architects, product managers, and QA Leads to bake quality into the CI/CD pipeline.
-
Talent Bench Building: Actively participate in technical recruiting, hiring engineers who raise the team’s technical bar.
Requirements
-
6+ years in test automation with deep hands-on expertise in TypeScript and Playwright (or strong equivalents), including core framework architecture experience.
-
Proven Technical Leadership: History of mentoring, leading, and expanding automation engineering teams.
-
Mandatory AI Competency: Fluent in utilizing modern AI tools to accelerate test automation workflows and driving their adoption across engineering teams.
-
Multiplier Impact: Demonstrated track record of building frameworks and developing engineers whose combined output far exceeds your individual footprint.
-
High Autonomy & Ownership: Self-directed leader capable of creating operational clarity with minimal oversight.
-
DevOps & CI/CD: Practical experience integrating automation suites into modern CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure.
-
Communication: Excellent verbal and written English communication skills.
-
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent practical experience.
Nice to Have
-
Experience scaling an automation function through periods of rapid team growth.
-
Exposure to performance, load, or security test automation.
-
Experience in high-scale MarTech or SaaS platform environments.
