The Role

As a Senior Test Engineer, you will be a core guardian of our product quality. You will design, develop, and execute both manual and automated test strategies, assist our core engineering teams and global customers in investigating complex production issues, and establish robust quality feedback loops.

At the Senior level, you will act as the primary Person-in-Charge (PIC), taking full ownership of quality assurance for dedicated company projects while coaching and mentoring junior QA talent.

Key Responsibilities

Test Architecture: Create detailed, comprehensive, and well-structured automated and manual test cases for advanced in-house software platforms.
Automation & CI/CD: Build, scale, and maintain automation scripts integrated within our internal CI/CD pipelines.
Release Validation: Perform rigorous exploratory testing for new features across continuous release cycles.
Hardware-Software Stress Testing: Plan and execute stress-testing activities specifically for software drivers controlling industrial hardware and devices.
Field Troubleshooting: Assist on-site deployment engineers and global customers in diagnosing and resolving complex technical issues.
Cross-Functional Alignment: Collaborate directly with Product Owners (POs) to refine user stories and requirements, driving a culture of shifting quality checking to the earliest stages of development.
Project Ownership: Take end-to-end accountability as the QA lead for major project delivery and provide technical mentorship to junior staff.

Qualifications

1. Must-Have Technical Expertise:

Senior Experience: 5–7+ years of general software testing experience, including at least 3 years dedicated to automated software testing across Web UI, APIs, or Desktop applications.
Testing Methodologies: Solid mastery of regression, integration, smoke, and exploratory testing methodologies.
Test Design: Deep proficiency in test design techniques (Boundary Value Analysis, Equivalence Class Partitioning, Decision Tables, Error Guessing).
Programming & Frameworks: Hands-on scripting experience in Python (strongly preferred) or Java, utilizing frameworks such as Robot Framework (preferred), Selenium, Cucumber, TestNG, Cypress, or Playwright.
Agile Processes: Strong experience working in Agile environments using BDD/TDD approaches, actively supporting developers with shift-left testing practices.
Environments & Infrastructure: Practical experience testing Desktop applications, working within Linux environments, writing shell scripts, and navigating CI/CD tools like Jenkins.
Cyber-Physical Systems: Proven experience testing complex ecosystems that combine both software and hardware components.
Communication: Fluent English communication skills (written and verbal) for seamless global collaboration.

2. Nice-to-Have Skills:

Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or Mechanical Engineering with a heavy computer science focus.
Prior experience working with electrical/mechanical automation systems or robotics-related technologies (e.g., motion planning, control systems, computer vision).
Non-functional testing experience for Desktop Applications.
Experience validating AI-driven products or machine learning workflows is a massive plus.
