Job Description

We are looking for a Senior Software Engineer with strong experience in software delivery and identity/access management to join our team on a 6-month contract. In this role, you will play a critical part in designing, implementing, and extending our Authentication and Authorization (AuthN/AuthZ) systems.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and extend Keycloak solutions to meet complex security and identity management requirements.

• Develop robust and scalable backend services using Scala (or Java).

• Integrate modern AuthN/AuthZ protocols and standards across systems.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure high performance, security, and seamless deployment.

Requirements

Experience:

• 5+ years of software engineering and delivery experience in production environments.

Technical Skills:

• Ideal: Deep hands-on experience in implementing and extending Keycloak (custom SPIs, providers, themes).

• Ideal: Strong proficiency in Scala.

• Alternative (Next Best): Deep expertise in Java paired with strong hands-on experience in modern AuthN/AuthZ standards:

  • OpenID Connect (OIDC), OAuth 2.0, Dynamic Client Registration (DCR), SAML, and Passkeys/FIDO2.

Soft Skills:

• Strong problem-solving mindset and ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.

• Good communication skills in English (written and spoken).
