What You’ll Do
-
Improve smart contract performance with a strong focus on reducing gas consumption, validating each optimization through measurable benchmarks.
-
Build and support precompiles within the blockchain execution client.
-
Rework and improve existing Solidity code to enhance efficiency, maintainability, modularity, and upgradeability without changing expected behavior.
-
Partner closely with the core protocol team to identify performance constraints across smart contracts, the EVM execution layer, and node infrastructure.
-
Design and run load tests, profiling, and performance experiments to deliver tangible improvements in TPS, execution efficiency, and latency.
-
Maintain a high engineering and security standard through comprehensive testing, code reviews, and collaboration with external security auditors.
What We’re Looking For
Required
-
3+ years of professional experience in smart contract development and/or blockchain protocol engineering.
-
Strong hands-on Solidity experience, particularly with gas optimization and EVM internals.
-
Proficiency in at least one systems-level language: Rust, Go, or C++, with the ability to work on precompiles and execution-client code.
-
Practical experience with profiling, benchmarking, and performance testing, using tools such as Foundry, Hardhat, or equivalent.
-
Strong understanding of the factors that influence blockchain performance, including block time, gas limits, execution costs, and state growth.
Bonus Points
-
Experience contributing to EVM clients such as Reth, Geth, or Erigon, or to other L1/L2 protocol implementations.
-
Experience engineering performance-sensitive on-chain applications, such as DEXs, perpetual trading protocols, or order-book systems.
-
Familiarity with parallel execution, rollup architectures, or zero-knowledge technologies.
Language
-
Good English and Vietnamese, both written and spoken.
Why This Opportunity
-
Competitive compensation + token allocation — join early and have meaningful upside.
