Responsibilities

Architecture & Infrastructure

  • Own the design of system architecture and cloud infrastructure on AWS (EKS, RDS, S3, etc.), ensuring scalability, security, and high availability.
  • Define and maintain best practices for system reliability and performance.

Product Development

  • Lead hands-on development of complex backend services and APIs using Kotlin, Spring Boot, or Node.js.
  • Design and implement modern API solutions leveraging GraphQL, gRPC, and REST.

Project & Delivery Management

  • Collaborate closely with Product Managers to plan, scope, and estimate projects.
  • Take full ownership of delivery timelines, quality, and execution outcomes.

Leadership & Mentorship

  • Lead, mentor, and grow a team of engineers.
  • Establish and enforce coding standards, code review practices, and CI/CD processes to ensure high engineering quality.

Problem Solving & Continuous Improvement

  • Diagnose and resolve complex technical issues by identifying root causes, not just symptoms.
  • Continuously improve system architecture, development processes, and engineering practices.

Qualifications

Experience

  • 7+ years of software development experience, including 2+ years in a Technical Lead or similar leadership role.

Backend Expertise

  • Strong proficiency in statically typed languages, especially Kotlin/Java (Spring Boot).
  • Solid experience working with Node.js in backend systems.

Architecture & System Design

  • Deep understanding of microservices architecture, API design (GraphQL, gRPC, REST), and Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) principles.

Cloud & DevOps

  • Hands-on experience with AWS, particularly EKS (Kubernetes), Docker, and modern CI/CD pipelines.

Leadership & Process

  • Proven ability to lead engineering teams, manage technical roadmaps, and deliver projects in Agile/Scrum environments.

 


Nice to Have

  • Familiarity with ReactJS or React Native.
  • Exposure to functional programming concepts.

Working Conditions

  • Working hours: 9:00 AM – 6:00 PM (Monday to Friday)
