The Role

We are looking for a Technical Lead to lead the engineering team responsible for integrating customer systems and data with our platform. In this role, you will define the technical direction, oversee system architecture, and ensure reliable, scalable integrations that support business growth.

This is a hands-on leadership position where you'll combine technical execution with team leadership, working closely with Product and Engineering to deliver high-quality solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Define and drive the overall technical architecture and engineering roadmap, ensuring the platform remains scalable, secure, and maintainable.
• Lead the development of integration solutions that connect customer systems with the platform, ensuring seamless and reliable data synchronization.
• Contribute directly to software development, partnering with engineers to deliver high-quality features and integrations on schedule.
• Collaborate with Product Managers to scope, prioritize, and deliver product initiatives aligned with business objectives.
• Promote engineering best practices, including clean architecture, code quality, testing, security, and operational excellence.
• Improve application performance, reliability, and scalability through continuous technical enhancements.
• Mentor and support engineers through technical guidance, code reviews, and knowledge sharing.
• Foster a culture of ownership, accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement across the engineering team.

Requirements

Experience

• 10+ years of professional software engineering experience.
• 3–5 years in a Technical Lead or Engineering Lead role.
• Experience delivering end-to-end integration projects involving third-party systems such as banking platforms, payroll providers, ERP solutions, or similar enterprise applications.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or a related discipline.

Technical Skills

• Strong hands-on experience with Kotlin and/or Java, particularly within the Spring ecosystem (Spring Boot, Spring Data, Spring Security, Spring Batch).
• Experience designing and developing GraphQL APIs.
• Solid knowledge of PostgreSQL and relational database design.
• Practical experience with Docker and Kubernetes.
• Experience deploying and operating applications on AWS or Google Cloud Platform (GCP).

Engineering Practices

• Strong understanding of software architecture, object-oriented design principles, design patterns, and engineering best practices.
• Proven experience improving system performance, application security, scalability, and operational reliability.

Leadership & Soft Skills

• Strong ownership mindset with the ability to drive initiatives from concept to delivery.
• Product-oriented thinking with the ability to collaborate closely with Product teams to prioritize and deliver incremental value.
• Demonstrated experience mentoring engineers and helping technical teams grow.
• Excellent communication, leadership, stakeholder management, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
