Position: QA Lead
As a QA Lead, your mission is to foster a strong quality assurance mindset across the team. You’ll play a key role in interpreting both business goals and technical specifications to ensure that software products meet high standards before release. You will partner closely with UI/UX Designers, Product Owners, Developers, and other stakeholders to deeply understand project needs and translate them into structured testing activities. This includes crafting test strategies, building test plans, and recommending a smart balance between manual and automated test coverage.
Your Responsibilities:

Lead and guide a QA team of 10+ members, offering both technical direction and professional mentorship.

Take part in team growth through recruiting, onboarding, and assigning clear responsibilities to scale QA operations effectively.

Define and continuously improve test strategies for features, releases, and larger-scale projects.

Establish a strong team setup with well-defined roles and clear accountability.

Conduct regular 1:1 meetings and performance reviews, encouraging career development and motivation.

Communicate test results, bug reports, and overall testing progress transparently to relevant teams.

Evaluate test outcomes and deliver detailed quality assessments with GO/NO GO decisions for each delivery.

Work closely with developers by supplying checklists or test cases for self-verification before builds reach the QA team.

Demonstrate a proactive and hands-on approach to solving problems and delivering outcomes.

Stay focused on execution and fast delivery while keeping quality in check.

Promote continuous improvement and innovation in testing practices and QA workflows.
What You Bring:

At least 3 years of proven leadership in QA, including managing a team of 10+ engineers and driving team improvements.

8+ years of solid hands-on QA experience, covering both manual and automated testing across mobile, web, and backend/API systems.

Proficiency in setting up and maintaining automation frameworks using tools such as Appium, Playwright, and WebdriverIO.

Deep understanding of QA methodologies, testing processes, and software lifecycle.

Ability to analyze both functional and non-functional requirements effectively.

Experience with bug tracking systems (e.g., Jira) and test management tools (e.g., TestRail, Zephyr).

A self-motivated mindset with the ability to work independently and influence cross-functional teams without direct authority.

Openness to learning, adapting, and being coached to enhance performance and impact.
Key Performance Indicators (KPIs):

Collaborate actively with developers and product owners to plan test strategies, create manual test cases, and make informed release decisions.

Achieve a monthly test workload equivalent to 60–70 story points (1 point = 2 hours of QA effort).

Detect more than 5 valid and critical bugs each month.

Design and document 100+ manual test cases monthly.

Develop automated test scripts for stable features.

Deliver a minimum of 10 automated test cases per month.
