Core Responsibilities

• Architectural Leadership: Design and build the core API Platform, setting the standard for reliability, extreme performance, and a world-class developer experience at global scale.

• AI Productionization: Deploy and optimize sophisticated AI/ML models into scalable, resilient production environments, collaborating directly with research and applied ML teams.

• Infrastructure Evolution: Own and evolve a modern, cloud-native stack, leveraging Kubernetes, Docker, and Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) principles to manage infrastructure efficiently.

• Reliability Engineering: Drive platform reliability by designing and implementing advanced telemetry, monitoring, alerting, autoscaling, failover, and comprehensive disaster recovery mechanisms.

• Developer Ecosystem: Develop intuitive APIs and SDKs, working closely with partner teams to implement robust security (access control), usage metering, and billing integration.

• Performance & Observability: Relentlessly improve platform performance, cost-efficiency, and observability as we scale to serve millions of users worldwide.

Requirements (The Technical Depth)

• Mandatory 5+ Years Experience building and operating large-scale, production systems with strict uptime and reliability expectations.

• Expertise in Container Orchestration: Deep experience with Kubernetes, Docker, Helm, and managing complex service mesh architectures (Istio or Linkerd).

• Cloud Proficiency: Strong hands-on experience with major cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure), including complex networking, IAM policies, and serverless tooling.

• Coding & Frameworks: Proficiency in Python and JavaScript/TypeScript, coupled with familiarity with modern backend frameworks (FastAPI, Express).

• API Mastery: Deep knowledge of modern API architecture (REST, gRPC, OpenAPI/Swagger) and advanced communication protocols (WebRTC/Websockets).

• Data Stack: Experience with diverse databases, including PostgreSQL, Redis, and modern vector databases crucial for AI/ML applications (Pinecone, Weaviate, FAISS).
