Technology Lead

The Technology Lead acts as the crucial link between business objectives and technical execution, ensuring scalable and future-proof solutions. This role provides strategic guidance on technology stacks, roadmaps, and business development while fostering a high-performance engineering culture. By leveraging Lean and Agile principles, the Technology Lead optimizes workflows, mentors engineers, and maintains high coding standards. Their leadership ensures seamless collaboration, proactive risk management, and the on-time delivery of high-quality web applications.

Key Responsibilities

  • Gather technical requirements, analyze use cases, and assess platform feasibility.
  • Provide well-reasoned and substantiated technology and architecture recommendations.
  • Develop and maintain software requirements specifications and architecture documentation.
  • Act as the primary technical contact for clients, third-party vendors, technology partners, and internal stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with Technology Directors to estimate and plan solution implementations.
  • Lead implementation, customization, and integration efforts.
  • Define best practices and contribute to company-wide knowledge sharing.
  • Identify and document integration points with third-party solutions.
  • Specify and document tools and technologies for solution implementation.
  • Work with vendors to select and implement appropriate technologies.
  • Conduct root cause analysis and develop resolution strategies for technical issues.
  • Prepare and present technical proposals to stakeholders at all organizational levels.
  • Evaluate vendor documentation and technical requirements to estimate time, cost, and feasibility of different approaches.

Qualifications & Skills

  • 7+ years of development experience, with 1+ years in a leadership role.
  • Proficiency in Agile and Waterfall methodologies, with an understanding of product management in various development frameworks.
  • Experience with enterprise CMS platforms (e.g., Contentful, AEM, or similar).
  • Hands-on experience with Next.js, TypeScript, GraphQL, and React in enterprise environments.
  • Broad knowledge of digital commerce, CRM, and loyalty programs (preferred but not required).
  • Strong focus on user-driven product design and data-driven decision-making.
  • Deep understanding of user experience, technical feasibility, and business implications.
  • Proven experience in building scalable applications, CI/CD pipelines, and managing common infrastructure.
  • Appreciation for design principles and user experience best practices.
  • Ability to mentor and guide junior technical team members.
  • Strong skills in time management, problem-solving, teamwork, and communication.
  • Experience developing applications and websites for large multinational brands.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field (preferred).
  • Leadership in testing best practices, including unit testing, integration testing, and automated end-to-end testing (TDD experience preferred).
  • Advocate for best coding practices, code review processes, and performance optimization
