About the Role

This is a pivotal executive leadership role for a seasoned technologist ready to manage one of our most critical engineering hubs. As the Technical Manager for our Vietnam R&D Center, you will be the driving force behind the development of our flagship real estate SaaS platform, leading a massive team of ~50 software engineers.

Your success will be defined by your ability to translate global business strategy into world-class technical execution. You will act as the key technical and cultural liaison, connecting our engineering efforts in Vietnam directly with our product and leadership teams in the U.S. and China. We are looking for a visionary leader who not only possesses deep expertise in Java and AWS architecture but can also foster a culture of technical excellence, accountability, and continuous innovation across a large, globally distributed organization.

Key Leadership Deliverables

• Strategic & Team Leadership: Directly manage, mentor, and scale an engineering organization of approximately 50 engineers. Define and execute a long-term talent strategy for the Vietnam R&D center, including recruiting top-tier talent and developing future engineering leaders.

• Global Technical Alignment: Serve as the chief architectural authority for the Vietnam hub. Direct the design and implementation of highly scalable, secure, and performant SaaS features, ensuring technical alignment with global product roadmaps and best practices in Java/AWS cloud environments.

• Cross-Continental Execution: Master the art of collaboration across time zones (U.S., Vietnam, China). Oversee the complete SDLC, driving project delivery, managing priorities, and proactively mitigating risks for complex, concurrent projects that integrate components from multiple regions.

• Executive Communication & Stakeholder Management: Act as the primary technical interface to global executive leadership. Provide transparent, high-level reporting on project status, technical health, and strategic decisions to ensure alignment and build trust across continents.

• Innovation & Process Optimization: Champion engineering excellence by enforcing rigorous quality standards, CI/CD, and modern architecture patterns (e.g., microservices). Challenge the status quo to drive process efficiencies and technical innovation.

What You Bring

• Experience at Scale: 5+ years in a senior technical management or Director role, with proven experience in successfully managing and rapidly scaling teams of 40+ engineers within a high-growth tech environment.

• Architectural Mastery: Exceptional proficiency in Java and a deep, working knowledge of enterprise-grade AWS cloud architecture and services.

• Global Fluency: Impeccable professional fluency in written and spoken English is mandatory. Significant experience working with U.S. and/or Chinese engineering and product teams is essential.

• Strategic Acumen: Demonstrated success in aligning technical strategy with high-level business goals and product vision.

• Domain (Nice to Have): Experience in PropTech or a related SaaS domain.
