The primary responsibility of this role is to design and develop high-performance, resilient data architectures and patterns that support a microservice-based application framework. You will lead the Platform Design Committee and oversee the creation and review of both high-level and detailed data design deliverables, including Entity Relationship Diagrams (ERD), as well as logical and physical designs.

As our customer base grows and the volume of available data increases, your expertise in leveraging data to enhance automation, improve customer experiences, and drive product and service innovation will be crucial to our success.

Your primary responsibilities as a Cloud Data Architect will include:

• Leading the design of robust, scalable data architectures that align with business goals, ensuring efficient data management and future growth.
• Developing conceptual, logical, and physical data architectures and models for enterprise-level operational and analytics solutions, using established data modeling techniques.
• Collaborating with project teams to ensure adherence to architectural standards while driving innovation and acting as a change agent.
• Building container-based big data architectures using Kubernetes.
• Assessing and integrating cutting-edge big data technologies.
• Designing and implementing large-scale data solutions (Data Warehouse, Data Lake, Data Analytics) following modern architectural patterns like microservices.
• Leveraging rapid prototyping methods to shorten time-to-market for clients.
• Continuously scouting and researching emerging technologies to stay ahead of industry trends.

• Create robust data architecture to manage data efficiently and effectively
• Define the data strategy and the key principles associated with it
• Develop and understand the enterprise data landscape and map data stores and -flows between the operational systems for our micro-service approach

• The role is varied and there are opportunities to become involved in activities across all parts of the business
• 3+ years of cloud data experience and insurance industry track record
• Strong data architecture and data modelling skills
• Experience with designing solutions for managing highly complex business rules within the

Azure ecosystem and cloud infrastructure, including data governance

• Extensive experience working with Data-APIs (RESTful endpoints)
• Prior work experience in Insurance consulting/architecture within a software and/or services company

• Manage and work autonomously on projects
• Experience with Advanced SQL and Python skills
• Experience with DataOps
• Experience in using DevOps while working on Cloud data platforms like using Terraform for

Infrastructure as Code (IaC), GitOps or using Docker, Kubernetes

• Experience building data pipelines leveraging Spark (Azure Databricks or Apache Spark), Airflow.
