Key Responsibilities:
- Strategic Test Planning & Execution: Develop comprehensive test plans and strategies, manage all testing activities (SIT, UAT, regression), and ensure meticulous execution for each release window.
- Defect Management & Resolution: Proactively identify, analyze, and troubleshoot defects, including root cause analysis (RCA) for production issues, and chair defect triage meetings with internal teams and customers.
- Team Leadership & Mentorship: Guide and mentor a growing team of QA professionals, assigning tasks, monitoring progress, and potentially managing outsourced testing teams.
- Automation & Process Improvement: Drive the development and planning of test automation, continuously improve testing processes, and propose best practices and tools to enhance efficiency and quality.
- Stakeholder Collaboration: Liaise effectively with developers, tech writers, business users, and customers to ensure clear communication of test status, findings, and project updates, and support UAT testing.
- Documentation & Training: Ensure all user manuals are correctly documented and conduct training for the Operations Team on system usage.
- Compliance & Risk Management: Work with PMO to ensure compliance with relevant processes and resolve testing-related risks.
What You Bring:
- Experience: Over 5 years of strong experience in end-to-end digital core banking projects , including at least 3 years of managerial experience in testing.
- Domain Expertise: Familiarity with common practices and end-to-end processes of core banking businesses (e.g., eKYC, mobile app, origination, deposits, loans, credit cards, payments in banks). Project experience in core banking system migration is a plus.
- Technical Skills: Strong experience in software testing, including test planning and execution , proficiency in test management and defect tracking tools , deep understanding of and detailed planning for automation testing , and familiarity with commonly used tools for automation testing.
- Communication & Leadership: Able to communicate effectively in English (speaking, writing, listening, comprehension). Strong communication, coordination, presentation, and teamwork skills. Ability to lead structured business discussions.
- Problem-Solving & Qualities: Analytical mind with creative problem-solving skills , high level of personal integrity and attention to details , resilience, and a quick learner.
- Desirable: Ability to read and communicate in Chinese is highly desirable.
