JOB DESCRIPTION: WIFI DATA COLLECTOR

Position Summary

As a WiFi Data Collector, you will be responsible for conducting on-site public WiFi data collection at designated Points of Interest (POIs). This role ensures the high-accuracy capture of WiFi fingerprint data, completes standardized scanning procedures, documents locations via photography, and submits validated data following strict operational Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).

Key Responsibilities

1. On-Site WiFi Data Collection

• Visit assigned POIs and verify location details before commencing the collection process.

• Launch designated tools (e.g., SensorCollector App) and ensure Precise GPS Location permissions are active.

• Execute high-precision scanning to ensure data integrity.

2. Photo Documentation

• Capture clear, high-quality images of the POI, ensuring the business name or location sign is clearly visible.

• Upload photo documentation according to specific submission standards and formatting.

3. Data Submission & Reporting

• Submit all collected data through the designated app's submission features.

• Maintain accurate, real-time records in provided spreadsheet templates for tracking.

4. Task Management & Progress Monitoring

• Review daily assigned POIs, accept tasks based on capacity, and complete them within operational timelines.

• Actively participate in mid-day and end-of-day progress check-ins.

5. Safety & Field Readiness

• Strictly follow all environmental, safety, and field-readiness guidelines while on-site.

Required Qualifications

Mandatory:

• Equipment: Must own an Android smartphone (Version 6.0 or above) with an active, stable internet connection.

• Process Adherence: Ability to follow detailed SOPs and complex technical instructions precisely.

• Attention to Detail: Strong focus on data accuracy and visual clarity.

Preferred:

• Previous experience in fieldwork or familiarity with location-based data collection.

• Experience using scanning tools or field reporting templates.
