Role Overview
We are seeking an AI Engineer to design, optimize, and deploy AI-powered features within our health tech platform. This role centers on integrating large language models (LLMs)—both API-based and self-hosted—into JavaScript/TypeScript environments, ensuring scalability, performance, and security. You will work closely with product, research, and engineering teams to translate cutting-edge AI into practical solutions for healthcare applications.

Key Responsibilities

• Build and maintain AI-driven services with a focus on LLM integration.

• Collaborate across teams to define, scope, and deliver ML features.

• Develop APIs and services in JavaScript/TypeScript to embed AI into products.

• Optimize inference, prompts, and model serving for efficiency.

• Ensure compliance, reliability, and security in AI workflows.

• Contribute to technical documentation and best practices.

Required Qualifications

• 3+ years in applied ML or AI engineering projects.

• Hands-on experience with LLMs (OpenAI, Anthropic, Llama, Mistral) in both API and self-hosted setups.

• Proficiency in JavaScript/TypeScript (Node.js, backend frameworks, API development).

• Strong knowledge of vector databases, embeddings, and RAG.

• Familiarity with AWS, GCP, or Azure for AI deployments.

• Proven track record of integrating AI into production systems.

• Strong problem-solving, documentation, and communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in healthcare, bioinformatics, or scientific data.

• Knowledge of Docker/Kubernetes for scalable deployments.

• Exposure to real-time applications and streaming data.

• Familiarity with prompt engineering, fine-tuning, or LoRA.
