Technical Skills
● Revit:
o Autodesk Professional in Revit for Electrical Design (link) certification is highly advantageous.
o 3–7+ years of hands-on Revit MEP experience with strong focus on electrical building services (lighting, small power, cable containment, ELV systems, etc.).
o Proven ability to produce detailed, accurate, and fully coordinated electrical Revit models.
● Strong understanding of MEP coordination workflows, including clash avoidance and resolution. Navisworks Manage experience is beneficial.
● Familiarity with BIM Execution Plans (BEPs), model naming conventions, drawing standards, and BIM data requirements.
● Experience working in cloud-based collaboration environments (Autodesk Construction Cloud / BIM 360).
Electrical Design Understanding
● Solid understanding of typical electrical systems across commercial, residential, or industrial projects.
● Ability to interpret:
o Single line diagrams
o Schematics
o Layouts, markups, and redlines from electrical engineers
● Comfortable working closely with engineers and responding efficiently to design changes.
Software Experience
● Autodesk Revit – Expert level
● Navisworks Manage – Advantageous
● AutoCAD – Working knowledge
● Experience with automation tools (Dynamo, C#, Python) is a strong plus.
● Experience with markup/coordination tools such as Bluebeam is beneficial.
Quality & Coordination
● Skilled in performing model audits, QA/QC checks, and ensuring drawings meet internal and client standards.
● Strong attention to detail with an awareness of model performance, file structure, and efficient modelling practices.
● Experience participating in internal and external coordination meetings.
Team & Communication Skills
● Strong communication skills; able to collaborate effectively with engineers, architects, and other disciplines.
● Capable of working independently with minimal supervision while contributing to a collaborative team environment.
