About the Role

We are urgently hiring a Senior Backend Engineer with strong AI API integration experience, who can also take on team lead responsibilities. This role will be focused on an innovative project in Singapore: a multi-agent team collaboration application designed to transform the future of work.

You will work closely with cross-functional teams to architect and build backend services, integrate advanced AI models, and ensure seamless communication across the platform. Strong English communication skills are essential.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead backend development for the AI-driven collaboration platform

• Architect and maintain Node.js services, APIs, and integrations

• Integrate multi-agent systems and large language model (LLM) APIs

• Collaborate with frontend teams working on React

• Guide a small engineering team, perform code reviews, and ensure high standards

• Work closely with Singapore stakeholders to align requirements and deliverables

• Ensure scalable, secure, and maintainable backend architecture

• Contribute to product direction, feature ideation, and technical planning

Requirements

Must-Haves

• 5+ years of backend engineering experience

• Deep expertise in Node.js

• Proven experience integrating AI APIs / LLMs (OpenAI, Claude, Gemini, custom agents, vector databases, etc.)

• Strong understanding of system design and API architectures

• Excellent English communication

• Ability to take technical ownership and lead a small team

Nice-to-Haves

• Experience with multi-agent frameworks or orchestration tools

• Familiarity with React (for cross-team collaboration)

• Prior work on enterprise SaaS or collaboration tools

• Cloud experience (AWS, GCP, Azure)

• Experience building mobile-first or voice-enabled features
